Расшарить ресурсы: samba или iptables?
Долго настраивал самбу, чтобы расшарить ресурсы, но ничего не полчалось: никто не мог ко мне зайти. Тем не менее, через lo я вполне вижу расшаренные папки. Похоже, дело не в самбе, а в iptables. Расскажите, пожалуйста, что нужно разрешить, чтобы меня увидели в сети?

Я в iptables "разрешил" только 2 порта: 80 (для apache) и 8080 (для прокси).
Больше сеть я не трогал.
Делал "файлопомойку" так,-
path = /home/meloman/tmp
read only = no
public = yes
dos charset = cp866
unix charset = KOI8-R
display charset = koi8-r
create mask = 0666

Я уже как только не извращался с самбой - все без толку: через lo видит, а через eth0 - нет. Думаю, трабла в iptables.
Расскажите, как его [iptables] правильно настроить.

Можно на время отключить iptables и посмотреть, в чем проблема ;-)
Кстати, разрешены ли порты 137, 138 и 139 ?

Вот теперь пытаюсь осилить Iptables Tutuorial by Oscar Andreasson (или как его там?). Туториал огромный и на английском, так что дело продвигается медленно.
Нет, порты не расшарены.
Я когда-то по этой статье пробовал настроить iptables - положил всю сеть.
А достаточно ли будет открыть порты, сделать iptables-save и куда-нибудь в стартовые файлы прописать iptables-restore? (Если, конечно, дело в iptables.)

Что за параметры hosts allow и interfaces? То ли я плохо искал в манах, то ли поздно уже было... Может, где-нить в сети можно подробней почитать про это?

Давайте "сверим часы":
У меня версия 3.0.23;
dos charset = cp866;
workgroup = MSHOME (посмотреть можно на виндовой машине);
enable privileges = Yes;
unix charset = koi8r (у Вас может быть по-другому);
hosts allow = 192.168.0., 127. (у Вас может быть по-другому, но 127. думаю нужно оставить);
interfaces = 127.0.0.1 eth0 (без запятой)
И - как у меня заданы каталоги:
(запись разрешена)
[tmp]
path = /home/meloman/tmp
read only = No
create mask = 0666
guest ok = Yes
(только для чтения)
[meloman]
path = /home/meloman
guest only = Yes
guest ok = Yes
Я выделил те отличия, которые, на мой взгляд, критичны.

Посмотрел я на Ваш smb.conf и чуть в осадок не выпал... Вы что, читали man smb.conf и попутно все упомянутые там параметры в конфиг прописывали? Зачем, например, параметры для LDAP, которым Вы всё равно не пользуетесь?

прочитал рекомендации по настройке samba (http://asplinux.net/node/69) и сдуру туда свою проблему как комментарий добавил. Может посмотрите, чему там учат и что мне помешало сделать все так, как написано?
